Jean M. (Burns) Morgan, 89, of Austin, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Scott Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 17, 1928 in Owsley County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Steve and Mershal (Gross) Burns. Jean was a retired Wareroom employee for Morgan Foods in Austin, Indiana and a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Morgan; a stepson, William R. Morgan; four sisters, Chaney Joan Burns, Maggie Cartwright, Doris Daniels and Kaye Murphy and two brothers, Ronald and Donald Burns. Survivors include a daughter, Carol Jean McClain and husband Dennis of Austin, Indiana; a son, Jim Morgan and wife Lisa of Scottsburg, Indiana; two brothers, Steve Burns, Jr. and wife Mickey of Scottsburg, Indiana and Douglas Burns of Underwood, Indiana; two sisters, Carole Molina and husband Bert of Montgomery, Alabama and Linda Hayes and husband Gary of Lexington, Indiana; a stepdaughter-in-law, Deloris Morgan of Shelbyville, Indiana; four grandchildren, Carla Judd (Tobin), Greg Samples (Kristi), Jonathan Morgan (Natalie) and Torrie Meyer (Brian), four great grandchildren, Cooper Bailey, Tierney Judd, Brayden and Morgan Samples; three step grandchildren, Cindy Flach, April Parker (Eddie) and Rick Morgan (Trish) and three step great grandchildren, Emily and Morgan Parker and Hailey Morgan.

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Collins Funeral Home with Matt Craig officiating. Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Saturday and after 11 am Sunday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment will be in Scottsburg Cemetery.
