Karlee Katelynn Hurt

Karlee Katelynn Hurt, 22, of Columbus, Indiana, went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was a warrior and had been fighting for her life for 7 days after being involved in a horrific motor vehicle accident. Karlee was born on September 12, 1996 in Seymour, Indiana, the daughter of William Riley Hurt and Shawna Richey. She attended Austin High School and was an amazing mother to two little boys. She enjoyed attending the New Life Community Church in Nashville, Indiana and was a sweet, loving and generous daughter, mother, sister and friend. Karlee was preceded in death by her father, William Hurt; her aunt, Kayla Hurt; her grandparents, Pat and Sherry Richey; her soulmate, Jordan M. Collins and many friends. Survivors include two sons, Hayden Fink of Uniontown, Indiana and Lyric Hurt of Scottsburg, Indiana; her mothers, Shawna and Audra Richey of Columbus, Indiana; a sister, Kalee R. Hurt of Columbus, Indiana; a brother, Jacob Allen of Scottsburg, Indiana; three stepbrothers, Jordan-Michael, Chandler and Korbyn Popplewell all of Columbus, Indiana; a stepsister, Chysschynn Popplewell of Franklin, Indiana; her grandparents, William and Rita Hurt of Scottsburg, Indiana; uncle and aunt, Patrick and Billie Richey of Seymour, Indiana; numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. Funeral Service: 12:00 noon on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Conboy officiating. Visitation: 4:30 to 8:30 pm Sunday and after 10 am Monday at Collins Funeral Home. Interment will be in Combs Cemetery near Austin, Indiana
